Observations

Red Rioja comes two broad styles: young and intensely fruity (Joven) or older and slightly spicy thanks to oak ageing (Crianza). This is a Joven and is made from the classic Tempranillo grape which is picked at its optimum state of ripeness in the second half of September. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks after a cold soak and the new wine allowed to settle before bottling. The result is a wine which has a deep ruby colour with hints of purple at the rim and intense fresh aromas of ripe red fruit like strawberries and cherries. On the palate it is full bodied, very smooth and packed with fruit and lingers on the palate for ages. Nuntius Cosecha will accompany all sorts of rice and pasta dishes as well as poultry and red meats.
